Is it March already?!? It’s hard to believe. Where does the time go? Funny you should ask. If I’m not shooting new models (keep an eye out for Justin coming very soon) or editing photography and video from recent shoots (more from Alexander, Willi, Mikey and Bart & Liam coming very soon), then I’m promoting the website and the MOZ. See what I did there? That was a segue. 🙂
Social media is a fickle mistress. It’s also a nut that I haven’t quite cracked. LOL! Since Instagram changed their algorithms last year, it has been more and more difficult to grow a fan base on the platform. Plus, its censorship is getting a little out of hand. So many photographers (myself included) have been having their ART reported and deleted. So, I created a Twitter. And while it’s great that I can post anything on Twitter without Twitter deleting photos (so far), it’s tough starting at the bottom of a new social media platform. But the followers are slowing beginning to follow.
Which brings me to the latest in my quest for promotion. VIMEO! I have had a Vimeo account for over 10 years. Several of my narrative genre short films have found a home on my Vimeo page. And since Film & Video has become an essential element of my photography website (and the MOZ), I decided to pop a few of the promo videos on good old Vimeo. Well, all I can say is, the response has been phenomenal. The videos have gained thousands of views. And my profile has gained over 100 followers. All within a 24 hour period! 🙂 Also, a handful of those new Vimeo followers have joined the MOZ (welcome & thank you). Needless to say, I will be using Vimeo more to promote what’s new in the MOZ. And if you haven’t followed me on Vimeo, or Twitter, or Instagram, feel free to follow. 🙂
